Leaf Viewer for developers

Show the files on your server in your own web pages: Word and PDF, decades-old word processors, CAD drawings, camera raw, e-books and 1,700 kinds of file more. No plug-ins and no software for your visitors to install.

Two ways to use it

On your server

The viewer, in your website

You put the viewer’s files on your website. When a page shows one of your files, the viewer reads it from your server and draws it in the visitor’s browser, with its pages, zoom and contents, as in the app.

Your files never reach us: we only count how many documents were opened.

Good for document libraries, archives, intranets, case files and manuals, where the files are already on your server.

From US$499 a year, by documents viewed

Send it to us

The conversion API

Your server sends a file and gets it back in a format browsers and ordinary programs already open: a PDF, a Word document, a picture, a drawing, text, MP3 or FLAC sound, or an MP4 film. Show the result anywhere, or keep it.

Each file is converted and deleted at once. We keep nothing and never look at it.

Good for bringing old formats into a system once, making previews, or when you’d rather not run the viewer.

US$5 for 100 conversions, then US$0.05 each

Get an API key

Buy, then make a key in the console and send files with it. Pay per use (with a monthly limit you set) can be turned on there once the 100 run out.

Anyone can open a file at leafviewer.app/open for free. Showing it anywhere else takes the viewer on your own website, or a conversion.

yearly, by agreement

More websites and views, private networks, legal and evidence work, and the converter on your own servers.

A view is one document opened. Past the month’s views, extra views bought ahead are used (US$1 per 1,000), then pay as you go at the same price up to a monthly limit you set, if you turn it on. With neither, your visitors see a short message in place of the document until the month ends, and we email you before that happens.

Getting started

  1. Get a keySign in to the Ontiqo console with your Ontiqo account. A licence you buy appears there with its key; API keys are made there too.
  2. Add it to your site or serverA few lines put the viewer in a page; one request converts a file. The documentation has both, with examples.
  3. Watch and set limitsThe console shows what you’ve used this month, and what happens when it runs out. Your server can read and change the same settings through the API.
